Competition Page

As an up-and-coming designer, you have been asked to provide a response to an RFP (request for proposal) for Mobile 2 View, one of the world’s foremost developers of wireless, video cell phones in the US. The primary purpose of this new exhibit will be to promote an existing line of video cell phones, launch a new branded videophone called the “Pilot”, and promote assorted related products. This competition is formatted as a Request for Proposal (RFP), which allows for you to gain the information required to enter the competition, and to do so in a format that will help familiarize you with the “real world” of the exhibition industry, and many other creative response industries as well.

Should you wish to learn more about how an RFP works or get additional support that may assist in your response please feel free to contact any of our Mentors, found on the web site or Wendy McGar at EDPA.

Please click here for the RFP.

Scenario

The 2008 CTIA Wireless Show in Las Vegas, Nevada has been chosen as the venue to debut the “Pilot” which is one of the largest wireless shows in the world. For more information on the show, go to www.ctiawireless.com.

Show management has confirmed an 80’ x 80’ Island space on the main floor.  The success of this show will be based on total leads gathered, retail sales of the new products, impact and general awareness on the show floor, and press coverage to be measured against the investment of this event.

Company Overview

Mobile 2 View is one of the world’s foremost developers of wireless, video cell phones in the US, and is about to expand its offices to Asia and India. The overarching tagline for the company is the “Staying a head of the technology keeps you in plane view of your business” The company is comprised of two business segments in Business-to-Business Sales. The company’s revenues are divided between 75% cell phone sales, 25% related products.

The design will need to allow for the distinct personalities of the two segments to share the exhibit and at given events allow for the new Pilot videophone to become the single star.
